Contamination Investigations & Remediations

If contamination is suspected, don't hesitate to act!

When contamination is encountered or identified, the first steps are to retain the services of a professional environmental consultant and report the contamination to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) in accordance with the Spills Law, ch. 292, Wis. Stats. This starts a process where your responsibilities are detailed in a letter from the WDNR. Your consultant will then guide you through the process which involves the environmental investigation to define the degree and extent of the contamination to soil, groundwater, and vapor. The purpose of the investigation is to determine risks involved to human health and for the protection of the environment.

REI’s team of professionals knows the regulations, investigation requirements and reporting requirements of the WDNR. We're your trusted partner and will work closely with you to determine the extent of the problem and evaluate the best course of action to case closure. We also work with any available reimbursement programs that may be available for investigation and cleanup work for corrective action.
